Amish Murder
Overview
Photos
Welcome to the Amish Murder section of the Jim Fisher Web Site.

In the history of the Amish people there has been only one individual convicted of homicide -- Edward Gingerich. On March 18, 1993, Gingerich gruesomely murdered and eviscerated his wife as two of his children looked on. Who is Ed? What drove him to murder? Where is he now? Jim has investigated and answered all of these questions.

Much of Ed's story is told in Jim's book Crimson Stain. This portion of the web site goes into even more detail. There are additional photos; an afterward and epilogue to the book detailing Ed's whereabouts and activities; as well as the transcript of the police interview of Gingerich on the night of the murder.

This web site will continue to grow so check back for updates and additional information. Please feel free to contact Jim with questions and comments.
